News releases

Recently, our team had the pleasure of hosting STV for an exciting feature at the BioQuarter campus in Edinburgh.

Watch the coverage highlights

Addressing a silent and serious lung condition, LifeArc scientists at our labs in the BioQuarter are leveraging their world-class expertise to revolutionise bronchiectasis diagnosis and management. This often overlooked condition affects over 300,000 individuals in the UK, with more than 5,000 cases in Scotland alone.

The research is developing a new test capable of pinpointing the bacteria responsible for lung infections in bronchiectasis patients, facilitating faster and more effective treatment.

The ultimate goal? Working with our partners from Asthma + Lung UKUniversity of DundeeUniversity of St Andrews and Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals, we aim to transform bronchiectasis management globally and within the NHS and improve patient care.
