LifeArc welcomes news of the UK rejoining Horizon Europe, the EU science research scheme

News releases

Today the UK and EU agreed a deal for the UK to associate the world’s largest collaborative research programme, Horizon Europe.

“This is fantastic news, not just for UK and European science, but ultimately for patients. We know that life science can be life-changing, but it stands the best chance if researchers in the UK are able to work closely with the world’s top talent, wherever they are, on the most exciting projects.

“Association to Horizon Europe will allow UK researchers to remain at the forefront of global challenges, such as antimicrobial resistance and pandemic preparedness, while boosting our chances of finding innovative tests and treatments for diseases like motor neuron disease and chronic respiratory infections that have historically been underserved.

“We strongly encourage our community to make applications to Horizon Europe, make the most of this fantastic opportunity and help keep UK research at the centre of global collaborations.”
