LifeArc has appointed healthcare leader and pharmaceutical industry expert, Dr Jonathan Morgan, as the charity’s first Chief Medical Officer..
Jonathan has almost 25 years of healthcare industry experience in leadership positions across large global pharmaceuticals, specialty pharma, and biotech. He holds a wealth of knowledge across all key medical functions, including clinical development, medical affairs and safety, and he has a strong track record of international regulatory success.
As Chief Medical Officer, Jonathan will play a crucial role in advancing LifeArc’s mission to improve the lives of patients who need it the most. He will shape the charity’s clinical research agenda and support clinical development programmes, with a focus on advancing promising innovations for underserved health conditions.

Jonathan joins LifeArc from Renaissance Pharma, where he led the clinical and regulatory functions of a newly established biotech, focusing on the development of a monoclonal antibody in paediatric oncology. Prior to that, he was Head of Medical at EUSA Pharma (UK) – a global specialty pharmaceutical company focused on niche oncology and rare disease. Over the years, he has held several senior advisory roles at pharma and biotech companies, including Head of Respiratory Medical Affairs at GlaxoSmithKline UK.
