Senior Funding Manager

Kieran is a Senior Funding Manager in the Funding Team who has oversight of the portfolio of rare disease translational research funded by LifeArc as well as being funding lead for global health. He is LifeArc’s lead for the network of Innovation Hubs for Gene Therapies, an £18M programme funded by LifeArc, the MRC, and BBSRC.

Previously, Kieran was part of the team that managed and licensed intellectual property on behalf of the Medical Research Council, part of UKRI.

Kieran has a master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Oxford and a PhD in chemical biology from the University of Bristol. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver before joining adMare BioInnovations, a Canadian leader in the translation and commercialisation of life science research. Prior to joining LifeArc in 2022, Kieran supported industry partnerships and collaborative research funding for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at Queen Mary University of London.
