We have appointed two new members to our executive team: Jan Lasik as our new General Counsel and Company Secretary, and Claire Pimm as our new Chief Communications Officer.

About Jan Lasik

In his new role, Jan will act as a strategic advisor to our Board and executive team, overseeing legal and governance across the organisation and working to help mitigate risk.

Jan joins us from the National Trust, where he was a member of the executive team acting as the charity’s general counsel and secretary. Prior to this, Jan worked both in the public sector, at the Bank of England, and in private practice. His vast legal, regulatory, public policy, and commercial expertise will ensure that our crucial work is supported by a first class legal and governance function.

“I’m delighted to welcome Jan and Claire to our executive team. Both bring extensive experience from their sectors at an important time for LifeArc. Their leadership will play a key role in helping us continue our mission to turn promising scientific research into
real-world impact for people living with rare diseases and global health infections.”

Sam Barrell, CEO, LifeArc

About Claire Pimm

Our new Chief Communications Officer, Claire Pimm, will lead our marketing and corporate communications function, including external and internal communications, public affairs, and marketing.

Claire brings over a decade of experience leading complex UK government communications, including the COVID-19 response and Brexit. She has held positions in the Cabinet Office with responsibility for crisis response, campaigning, strategy, news and media management, digital communications, stakeholder engagement, and public affairs.

“I am delighted to be joining LifeArc at such a key time for the organisation. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about translating complex ideas into compelling narratives that drive understanding and engagement. I am excited to help showcase the incredible work being done to transform promising science into life-changing medical treatments and to ensure LifeArc’s vital work receives the recognition and support it deserves.”
