Dr Andrew Leach is LifeArc’s Director of Data Science. He leads Dara Science activities at LifeArc and is ultimately responsible for the team’s activities and projects.
Andrew studied Chemistry at Oxford University, leading to MA and D.Phil. degrees. Following early-career academic positions, he spent more than 20 years at GlaxoSmithKline, developing and leading new platform capabilities in drug discovery and pre-clinical safety and delivering early discovery target class therapeutic portfolios.
In 2016 he moved to the European Bioinformatics Institute as Head of Chemical Biology and Industry Partnerships, delivering global resources such as the ChEMBL database. In 2024 he joined LifeArc.
