The MRC aims to make the valuable research tools and reagents generated by MRC scientists accessible to the wider scientific community. LifeArc manages these on behalf of the MRC for academic research use and commercial licensing. For academic research, we can help get a standard Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) in place. For commercial purposes, materials are licensed on a non-exclusive basis for sale as catalogue reagents, in-house R&D purposes, and other commercial applications. Once a license or MTA is in place, materials will be released from our partner repositories or academics labs.

Description
NS0 is a cell line derived from murine myeloma. It is a non-Ig secreting, non-light chain-synthesising subclone of NS-1 (P3/NS1/1-Ag4-1). NS0 can be used in research and commercial production of therapeutic biologics and other proteins, including as a fusion parent for generation of hybridomas to produce antibodies. It has successfully been used to produce several approved biologic therapeutics.

The YB2/0 cell line was produced by fusing Y3/Ag1.2.3 cells with spleen cells from an AO strain rat.
