As Interim Chief Communications Officer, Jane works alongside LifeArc’s executive team to drive and shape our 2030 strategy and enhance our profile as an independent charity.

Jane is a communications consultant and former director of communications and public engagement at the Francis Crick Institute, where she was responsible for engaging and inspiring audiences in its mission to deliver world-class life science. She led work to build the organisation’s reputation as a leading centre of biomedical research, grow its media profile and deliver a high-quality programme of public engagement and education outreach.

She has previously led communications teams in a number of other health and medical organisations, having spent over 20 years at the BBC, most recently as BBC Health Correspondent. She is a Governor of Homerton NHS Foundation Trust and a Board Member for CaSE – the Campaign for Science and Engineering.
