Chris is the UK Health Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Application Lead within the Data Sciences Group. In his role, Chris will help build our Platform for Clinical Data Science, including collaborations with Our Future Health.
Chris is a clinician by background, specialising in anaesthesia and intensive care, and brings a decade of NHS experience. Before joining LifeArc, Chris transitioned to full-time academia at University College London, where he led some of England’s first national-scale analyses with NHS England and HDR-UK. Chris’s research covered topics such as cardiovascular disease, rare diseases, vaccination, and COVID-19, alongside phenome-wide analyses. More recently, he has been heading an academic-industry-NHS collaboration to build the first national generative AI model of electronic health records for population health management and precision medicine.
