A bit about the role:

One of LifeArc’s strategic goals is to achieve significant growth via third party strategic partnerships. Implementing a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programme will actively support this goal, in addition to ensuring a proportionate, consistent approach to supplier risk management and delivering best value for our current £20m addressable spend which is expected to grow significantly over the next few years. 

The goal is to move LifeArc further up the Procurement maturity curve, integrating Procurement into strategic decision making.

  • Working for Head of Procurement, the role will provide support in development and delivery of Procurement Functional Excellence programme within LifeArc
  • Support operational aspects of Procurement with all end-users.  Core responsibilities include supporting the developing Procurement strategy, coaching, supporting, and guidance about all aspects of Procurement best practice across the organisation and supporting a strategically focused and efficient procurement process

The role will be Stevenage-based, with willingness to travel to our other sites in London and Edinburgh

 About you:
Personal attributes:

  • Greenfield procurement experience
  • Strong operational Procurement experience, minimum of 5 years, for Indirect categories, in particular IT h/ware, s/ware and services, Professional Services, Soft FM
  • Strong negotiator with excellent systems and data knowledge to provide supplier spend and cost management in a fast-paced, growth environment
  • Well versed in Procurement best practice, especially process
  • Understanding and application of SRM programme
  • Evidence of strong business partnering skills and ability to coach and influence
  • IT literate with strong data analysis skills


  • Qualified, studying or prepared to study for CIPS
