Job Purpose: 

A scientific leader who can contribute strategically and lead on early discovery projects, working across functions in a matrix setting. The role will also require the ability to build strong relationships and work with external collaborators, so experience of working as part of multi-partner collaborations or alliances would be valuable.

About you:

Education & experience (required): 

  • Educated to BSc/MSc/PhD or equivalent apprenticeship/relevant experience 
  • Significant scientific or post-doctoral experience
  • Track record of leading project or large components of complex projects publications or patents that demonstrate the creation of novel solutions to complex problems
  • Experience coaching and mentoring 
  • Experience in technical leadership of multidisciplinary projects through to delivery
  • An understanding of leading project(s) or large components of complex projects, publications or patents that demonstrate the creation of novel solutions to complex problems
  • Operating in a matrix environment whereby platform/functional teams intersect with project teams
