The discovery of new therapeutics is a knowledge driven enterprise and IT is fundamental to its success. We are currently engaging in an IT transformation process with new cloud based, Big Data and machine learning projects.
We are seeking an IT System / Support Analyst to work closely with our back-office team in London in support of the current software and the hardware estate within a front-line support role.
We are seeking a skilled IT professional in a front-line support role to work closely with our scientists in support of the current software and the hardware estate.
The role is both stimulating and rewarding, suitable for strong problem solvers who have worked with a diverse range of specialist applications who will enjoy a highly engaging environment at LifeArc. The ability to work across a range of issues of varying scale and complexity alongside highly skilled clients, is particularly valued. Previous experience in a scientific IT setting is desirable, but not essential.
Delivering outstanding onsite support and assistance to lab-based colleagues in a proactive, flexible, and constructive way
Diagnosing and resolving software and hardware incidents for internal users
Ensuring feedback related to IT issues is provided in a timely manner to all requesters
Providing hands-on support to the Stevenage lab (onsite) and remote support to the Edinburg and Crick Lab as and when required
Education & experience required:
- Two or more years working in 2nd line support
- Working in a multi-disciplined environment
- Experience in Life Sciences / Pharma/ Biotech – highly desirable
Skills & abilities:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to communicate at all levels of technical expertise and seniority, inside and outside the organization, both verbally and in writing.
- Linux Admin and support skills minimum of 2 years of experience
- Good experience in using MS Azure, MS Office 365, Freshdesk, Agresso
