Job Title: IP & Contracts Administrator 
Location: London – On-site 3 days per week
Job Type: Permanent

 A bit about the role:

To provide administrative support on IP matters.  Co-ordinate and maintain support for the IP team for all administrative duties.

 

 

About you:

Maintaining intellectual property (IP) records in a database and extracting information by generating reports 

Electronic filing of incoming/outgoing correspondence   

Attending to patent formalities such as inventor assignments

Monitoring deadlines to ensure necessary actions are taken by responsible staff 

Liaising with inventors and external patent attorneys

Checking and processing invoices

Monitoring royalty income and distribution

Other general IP admin duties

 

Education & experience required:

CIPA Patent Administrator qualification highly preferred

Commitment to continuing professional development

 

Skills & abilities:

Experience of handling patent formalities, obtained either in-house or in private practice, and of using an IP docketing and document management system 

Good IT skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

Methodical, organised approach with excellent attention to detail

Strong communication / interface skills

Positive, pro-active and a good relationship builder
