Job Title: Administrator – Funds and Grants Team

A bit about the role:

The Grants/Funds Administrator will support the Grants/Funds team. The Administrator will ensure smooth management of their day-to-day affairs, handling sensitive and complex issues in a professional manner taking initiative as appropriate. The Administrator will be involved in the end-to-end activities required for successful funding panel meetings across several of LifeArc’s key funding initiatives.

 

About you:

  • You will take a lead role in supporting major funding initiatives and panels.
  • Scheduling appointments and organising diary entries assessing priorities and rescheduling where necessary
  • Setting reminders for meetings, appointments, and other important tasks
  • Arranging conferences, workshops, seminars, and other events for internal and external attendees
  • Be able to work without prescriptive processes and on issues where sufficient information may not be available.  
  • Miscellaneous tasks as required to support the team.
  • Other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organisation.

 

Education:

  • No formal qualification is required for this role, but it is expected that the incumbent will have A-Level education or equivalent.

 

Skills & abilities:

  • Demonstrable experience of providing administrative support to colleagues at all levels. 
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office   
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. 
  • High degree of professionalism in dealing with diverse groups of people, including senior executives, employees, academics, and industry partners. 
  • Demonstrate initiative when making decisions regarding priorities and available time. 
  • Ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with only some guidance.
  • Ability to react with appropriate levels of urgency to situations and events 
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Possess sound judgment. 
  • A flexible, pro-active approach to work including the ability to prioritise and re-prioritise.
